Ms Patricia Fitcheard
March 27, 1949 - February 7, 2021
Today we pause to celebrate the life of our dear and devoted loved one, Patricia Ann Fitcheard, affectionately known as “Trish” and “Pat”, whom the Lord quietly called home on Sunday, February 7, 2021. Patricia was born March 27, 1949 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina to the late Elvin and James Henry Lloyd Sr. Trish was educated in Rocky Mount City School systems. She graduated from the Booker T. Washington Senior High School in 1968. After graduation she moved to New York to attend Business and Accounting School. Upon completion of school she relocated to Washington, DC, to work in the Georgetown University Accounts Payable section, where she worked for over twenty years. While at Georgetown she met Stanley Fitcheard Sr where they were united and began their family. After retirement she continued to work for a short while, at the Roof Center and Colonial Parking. Although she loved to work, one of her biggest passions was cooking. She could turn something simple into something totally delicious. She was often referred to as “The Sister That Cooks”. You could tell that whatever she made, was made with love. She loved to sing and listen to music, whether it be Jazz, R&B or Gospel. She loved to travel, attend plays and concerts and just enjoy friends and family, but her greatest passion of all was serving the Lord at her church home, The Greater First Baptist Church, Washington D. C. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Fitcheard Sr., son Stanley Fitcheard Jr. and sister Terrie Lloyd. She leaves to celebrate her life, son Damian Sykes (Yolanda), sister Gloria James, sister Gwendolyn Lloyd, James Lloyd Jr. (Wanda), sister-in-law Lavern Finch (Larry) brother-in-law Elias Fitcheard (Linda), nephew Frank James Jr. (Tamika), niece Krystal (Maurice), nephew Michael James (Marcia), nephew Larry Finch Jr. (Maria), niece LaVida Stalsworth (Josh) and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
