On January 21, 2017 James Anthony was called to rest. James Louis (“Lou Lou”) Anthony was born on December 28th, 1977 in Washington, DC to the late Betty Gleaton, and James Anthony Sr. Lou Lou attended DC public schools. He was a loving person with a free spirit. He loved to sing, and write poems. Lou Lou was preceded in death by his mother, and father, Betty Gleaton and James Anthony Sr. His little brother Lamont Anthony, two aunts, Mae Frances Glasgow and Dorothy Mayo, three uncles, James, Thomas, and Charles Gleaton. Lou Lou leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter Nala Johnson, three sisters, Charlene Waldo, Delores Waldo, and Yolanda Anthony. Four Aunts, Barbara Jean Gleaton, Ruth Ann Gleaton, Allean McQueen, And Rose Palyer. Two Uncles, Rivers Gleaton, and Theodore Gleaton, All of Washington, DC Four nieces, Shannon Greene, Andrea Waldo, Kriston Robinson, and, Laquanda Anthony. Two nephews, Tony Waldo, and Christopher Robinson. Two great-aunts, Albertha Carmicheal, and Evelyn Smith. Two great-uncles Wilbert, Nathan Fanning, both of South Carolina. And a host of other relatives and friends. Lou Lou was full of joy and laughter, and we are assured that he has found peace at the end of his journey. He holds a special place in our hearts. May he rest in the arms of our heavenly Father. My Brother I think of you in silence, And make no outward show, But what it meant to lose you no one will ever know. You gave no one a last farewell Or even a “Good-Bye” You were gone before I knew And only God knows why A golden heart stopped beating Your tender hands are at rest God broke my hearts to prove to me He only takes the best!!! Yet, some how something tells me You are watching over me Now that from Worldly cares You are finally free I miss you so very much, And my tears I cannot hide Yet within my heart, I feel You are always by my side. Ever since you went away Life has never been the same Yet, it comforts me to know That one day we’ll meet again. If roses grow in heaven, Lord please pick a bunch for me, Place them in my Brother’s arms And tell him they’re from me. Tell him I love him and miss him, And when he turns to smile, Place a kiss upon his cheek, and hold him for awhile. Because remembering him is easy, I do it every day, But there’s an ache within my heart that will never go away.
